Metamodern.com will make this privacy notice easy to find by making it available on the homepage and on every page where personally identifiable information may be requested. It will be updated to describe policies for new forms of information collected as these become applicable.

Information collected:

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Metamodern.com website. At present, this consists of information entered when making comments. The information requested comprises, in its entirety, your name, email address, website url, and the comment itself. None of these is verified, hence providing correct personal information is purely voluntary.

Your name, optional website url, and comment (if accepted) will be visible to other readers of Metamodern.com, and hence publicly accessible. Other information that you provide will not be shared with outside parties.

Your email address may be used for occasional messages from us and in connection with the subject matter covered by Metamodern.com. There is no plan at present to compile a regular email list, and if one is created, an easy way to opt out will be provided. Email addresses will not be used for any other purpose and will not be shared with outside parties.

Non-identifying and aggregate information may be used to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, an advertiser may be told that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out a questionnaire form. Nothing would be disclosed that could be used to identify those individuals.

Your data will be handled with the standard of care of a reasonably security-aware webmaster working with a professional ISP. Any collection of more sensitive information in the future would be reason for reviewing data security.
